Marble
Bianco Carrara
The best-known Italian marble in the world: a pearl-white ground crossed by fine, evenly spaced grey veins.

Marble · Italy
A pure white ground with bold, dramatic grey veining: the marble of classical statuary.
Book-matched wall in Statuario Classico, slabs mirrored pair by pair, polished finish
The slabs
Four grades of the same bank, photographed in the same scene at the same scale: from the almost empty Extra to the continuous Venato. With Statuario the size matters less than the block — supply is limited and every block draws differently — so the choice is made on the actual slab, not on a sample.

300 × 170 cm2 cm and 3 cm thick
The whitest selection of the bank: an almost empty ground and just two grey veins cutting the slab diagonally. This is the grade to choose when the marble has above all to be white, and the one a block yields least of.
Request this selection: Statuario Extra
295 × 200 cm2 cm and 3 cm thick
The figure that gives the material its name: broad, sharp, branching grey veins on a brilliant white ground. More drawing than the Extra and far more contrast — this is the selection for book-matching, where two consecutive slabs open like a mirror.

300 × 190 cm2 cm and 3 cm thick
Diffuse grey veining running on the diagonal, spread over the whole slab instead of concentrated in a few strokes. It is the most continuous of the four grades, and the only one that carries easily over large areas: slab after slab the figure does not change register.
Request this selection: Statuario Venato
295 × 165 cm2 cm and 3 cm thick
The same white ground, a smaller figure: a dense net of fine grey veins instead of the Classico’s big diagonals. It costs less and repeats better over large areas, where a dramatic vein becomes hard to match panel after panel.
Request this selection: StatuariettoStatuario is the finest selection from the Carrara basin: a compact, brilliant white ground with sharp, pronounced grey veins that draw across the slab. Historically the marble of Italian sculpture, today it is the material of choice for feature surfaces where every slab is a one-off. The name covers several grades of the same bank: Classico, Extra — a whiter ground with sparser veining — Venato, more diffusely veined, and Statuarietto, with a much smaller figure. Supply is limited: it is worked from a specifically selected block, and the slab is looked at before it is ordered.
How the finish changes the stone
Installed
Stone changes with the surface it covers: on a continuous wall the figure reads in full, on a floor you walk across it. These are reference settings.

Reference renderings, not Eurostone supplies: they show the material in place, not a completed project.
