Cookie Policy
Version 2026.1 — in force from 1 January 2026
Note for the client. The tables below must be brought into line with the services actually enabled in production: if Google Ads or Meta are not used at launch, those rows must be removed — declaring cookies that are never set is as wrong as omitting ones that are. Draft to be validated by a lawyer, and to be kept in step with the Italian edition.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device to remember information from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next. Alongside cookies there are technologies with an equivalent function — local storage, tracking pixels, fingerprinting — which this notice treats in the same way, because the law looks at the function rather than the technical means.
2. How we handle consent
On your first visit a panel appears with three options of equal weight: Reject all, Customise, Accept all. Until you make an explicit choice, no cookie other than the strictly necessary ones is set: third-party scripts stay technically blocked and are not executed.
Closing the panel, scrolling the page or continuing to browse does not amount to consent. Consent is valid only when given through a positive, unambiguous action.
You can change your mind at any time with the button, at the foot of every page and at the bottom left of the screen. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: cookies in the categories you switch off are deleted.
Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which you will be asked again. If we change the purposes or the list of services, the panel reappears before then: a consent collected on different premises is no longer valid.
3. Categories of cookie used on this site
3.1 Strictly necessary — always active
Essential to the operation of the site. They do not profile and require no consent (Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, implementing the ePrivacy Directive).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eurostone_consenso | Eurostone Srl | Stores the cookie categories you accepted and the date of your choice | 6 months | Local storage — first party |
| eurostone_consenso_storico | Eurostone Srl | Keeps the history of your choices, so that consent can be demonstrated | 6 months | Local storage — first party |
| eurostone_bozza_preventivo | Eurostone Srl | Saves an unsent quotation enquiry on your device so you don't lose it. Deleted on submission. | Until submission | Local storage — first party |
| eurostone_sessione | Eurostone Srl | Maintains the browsing session and protects the forms against automated submissions | Session | Cookie — first party |
3.2 Preferences — consent required
These remember your choices so you don't have to set them again on every visit. If you reject them the site works exactly the same: you will simply have to reselect language and filters.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eurostone_lingua | Eurostone Srl | The browsing language you selected | 12 months | Cookie — first party |
| eurostone_preferiti | Eurostone Srl | Materials you have saved to your project | 12 months | Local storage — first party |
3.3 Statistics — consent required
These tell us in aggregate form which materials are being looked at and where people stop. They exist to improve the site, not to recognise you: the IP address is anonymised before being recorded.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Ireland Ltd. | Distinguishes unique users | 14 months | Cookie — third party |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Ireland Ltd. | Maintains session state | 14 months | Cookie — third party |
Provider's notice: policies.google.com/privacy.
3.4 Marketing — consent required
This is the only category that involves profiling. It allows advertising campaigns to be measured and Eurostone content to be shown to you on other sites. Loading the map on the Contact page, provided by Google, also depends on this category. If you reject it you lose no functionality: the address stays readable and the driving directions remain one link away.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ireland Ltd. | Advertising conversion attribution | 90 days | Cookie — third party |
| _fbp | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. | Campaign measurement | 90 days | Cookie — third party |
| NID, IDE | Google Ireland Ltd. | Embedded content and maps | 6–13 months | Cookie — third party |
4. Third-party content blocked by default
Some embedded content — the map of our offices, any videos — is provided by third parties, and loading it transmits your IP address to that provider. For this reason it is not loaded automatically: in its place you will find a placeholder that explains what it is and lets you enable it with one click, or reach the same content without any tracking.
5. Fonts and external resources
The site's typefaces are hosted on our own servers and not loaded from an external service. Even before any consent is given, therefore, viewing the site involves no disclosure of your IP address to third parties.
6. Managing cookies from your browser
Besides our own panel, you can manage or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies indiscriminately may break the operation of this and other websites.
